Israel trying to pass the hospital bombing off as Palestine doing it is utterly disgusting and guarantees Netanyahu a spot in the deepest pit of Hell for all eternity, obviously, but do not forget that

a) the only reason why Westerners will believe it is because they want to believe it - they are not being brainwashed and this is not some masterful propaganda being weaved around us to turn kind-hearted people into monsters,

b) no Westerner opinions matter at all. In most Western countries there is no real anti-Israel option to vote for even if they did realize that Israel was a giant factory for crimes against humanity, and Westerners protesting against things in general almost never achieves anything (tens of millions protested for BLM in 2020 and not only did the situation not change, it got worse), and

c) the people whose opinions do matter (both the people in the region, and the leaders who aren’t already Zionist compradors) already know that Israel is full of shit and that they just murdered nearly a thousand civilians in a single bomb attack.

It is despair-inducing to think that the genocidal Zionist entity is so brazenly, so smugly getting away with bullshitting this away into a cloud of confusion, as they release their metaphorical squid ink just like they did with the stupid babies story, but the propaganda and the media narrative that they are creating isn’t what matters. It cannot address the fundamental contradictions ripping the country, the region, and the world apart any more than masterfully-applied makeup can fix a stab wound. It can merely obfuscate.

If you have evidence of Israeli crimes and atrocities that you wish to preserve, there is a thread here in which to do so.

Resources For Understanding The War

Defense Politics Asia’s youtube channel and their map. Their youtube channel has substantially diminished in quality but the map is still useful.

Moon of Alabama, which tends to have interesting analysis. Avoid the comment section.

Understanding War and the Saker: reactionary sources that have occasional insights on the war.

Alexander Mercouris, who does daily videos on the conflict. While he is a reactionary and surrounds himself with likeminded people, his daily update videos are relatively brainworm-free and good if you don’t want to follow Russian telegram channels to get news. He also co-hosts The Duran, which is more explicitly conservative, racist, sexist, transphobic, anti-communist, etc when guests are invited on, but is just about tolerable when it’s just the two of them if you want a little more analysis.

On the ground: Patrick Lancaster, an independent and very good journalist reporting in the warzone on the separatists’ side.

Unedited videos of Russian/Ukrainian press conferences and speeches.

Telegram Channels

Again, CW for anti-LGBT and racist, sexist, etc speech, as well as combat footage.

Pro-Russian

https://t.me/aleksandr_skif ~ DPR’s former Defense Minister and Colonel in the DPR’s forces. Russian language.

https://t.me/Slavyangrad ~ A few different pro-Russian people gather frequent content for this channel (~100 posts per day), some socialist, but all socially reactionary. If you can only tolerate using one Russian telegram channel, I would recommend this one.

https://t.me/s/levigodman ~ Does daily update posts.

https://t.me/patricklancasternewstoday ~ Patrick Lancaster’s telegram channel.

https://t.me/gonzowarr ~ A big Russian commentator.

https://t.me/rybar ~ One of, if not the, biggest Russian telegram channels focussing on the war out there. Actually quite balanced, maybe even pessimistic about Russia. Produces interesting and useful maps.

https://t.me/epoddubny ~ Russian language.

https://t.me/boris_rozhin ~ Russian language.

https://t.me/mod_russia_en ~ Russian Ministry of Defense. Does daily, if rather bland updates on the number of Ukrainians killed, etc. The figures appear to be approximately accurate; if you want, reduce all numbers by 25% as a ‘propaganda tax’, if you don’t believe them. Does not cover everything, for obvious reasons, and virtually never details Russian losses.

https://t.me/UkraineHumanRightsAbuses ~ Pro-Russian, documents abuses that Ukraine commits.

Pro-Ukraine

Almost every Western media outlet.

https://discord.gg/projectowl ~ Pro-Ukrainian OSINT Discord.

https://t.me/ice_inii ~ Alleged Ukrainian account with a rather cynical take on the entire thing.

    -1 MORALE

de-pain-threshold [Impossible: Failure] — You are submerged deep within the milieu of news cycles and chauvinism, and you are drowning. Air. You need air. It burns at the corners of your eyes and claws at your throat. Everything hurts. If this is the way it’s going to be, you don’t know if you can keep going.

de-empathy — How could you, when everything is so terrible?

de-shivers [Challenging: Success] — A world away, further than any place you’ll ever go, a young boy sits outside a crumbling, concrete apartment block. Sea spray and smoke swirl through the air together, salty and acrid, coating the world in a shade grayer than usual. He sits and stares up at the sky, at the planes carrying missiles overhead, and he listens for the sounds of catching powders and marching footsteps. He sits with two million siblings. None of them may make it to tomorrow. The sufficiently old and sufficiently able take to the streets. The shelters and tunnels curling beneath them like veins tremble against the tension.

dubois-depressed — Have they given up?

de-volition — No. They haven’t. And that means neither can you.

The Nobel Peace Prize winning, warmongering old fossil finally kicked the bucket!

Sorry, not Kissinger. It’s Martti Ahtisaari, former president of Finland.

Guy got his prize for 30 years of brokering peace, the saddest example when he supported the NATO attacks on Kosovo and took part in the negotiations after. Better yet, he also defended the Iraq War and was an all-in NATO fanboy. When he was criticized for this two facedness, he called the critics Stalinists.

Dude also loved austerity and of course, Israel. All in all, your usual social democrat! Rest in piss, loser!

Milosevic took the papers and asked, “What will happen if I do not sign?” In answer, “Ahtisaari made a gesture on the table,” and then moved aside the flower centerpiece. Then Ahtisaari said, “Belgrade will be like this table. We will immediately begin carpet-bombing Belgrade.” Repeating the gesture of sweeping the table, Ahtisaari threatened, “This is what we will do to Belgrade.” A moment of silence passed, and then he added, “There will be half a million dead within a week.” Chernomyrdin’s silence confirmed that the Russian government would do nothing to discourage carpet-bombing.

So far I’ve seen like four unique instances of an Israeli saying in an interview “Yeah members of my family were killed by Hamas but doing genocide in Gaza is not the answer I want peace also our government sucks ass”. One of the ones I saw (while watching Hasan) was a 19 year old. Like how can someone who’s family was killed have more moral clarity about the situation than westerners with no skin in the game at all. Its grotesque.

Netanyahu and other fascist Israeli factions have been working towards this moment for years, and I’m sure the US has been on board as well. Genocide is one of those “it’s easier to ask for forgiveness than ask for permission” deals.

    https://www.telesurenglish.net/news/Grenadas-PM-Maurice-Bishop-Was-Assassinated-40-Years-Ago-20231019-0009.html

so two days ago was the 40th anniversary of the murder of Comrade Prime Minister Maurice Bishop and many other comrades at the hands of the ultra-left renegade and traitor Bernard Coard, who was his deputy PM, in a coup that would doom the revolutionary Grenadan government to being dismantled by the American imperialist regime and cause the death of hundreds of Grenadan and Cuban comrades.

On October 19, 1983, Grenadian Prime Minister Maurice Bishop and 15 members of his cabinet were executed following a palace coup orchestrated by his deputy Bernard Coard. Their bodies have never been found.

He came to power in March 1979, when “the New Jewel Movement successfully led a coup against the authoritarian government of Eric Gairy,” the African Stream recalled.

“Bishop was installed as the prime minister, and his administration implemented a series of socialist reforms, including land redistribution, education expansion, and healthcare improvements,” it added.

    WASHINGTON ENCOURAGES CONSPIRACY

Due to public policies such as the above, the Bishop administration was viewed with suspicion by the United States, which also did not look favorably on the independent foreign policy that Grenada was implementing.

“On June 5, 1983, Bishop spoke to a room that burst at the seams at Hunter College in New York City. The audience was predominantly Africans in America, who had flocked to hear the Grenadian leader speak about how the U.S. government was plotting to destabilize and destroy the revolution in Grenada because it feared African sovereignty and independence,” the African Stream highlighted.

Supported by Washington, a counterrevolutionary movement staged a coup d’état in 1983 and planned the assassination of the revolutionary leader.

“Bishop was arrested and assassinated during a coup by a faction the New Jewel Movement, led by Bernard Coard. The internal conflict led to his violent death, and opened the door for violent U.S. military occupation,” the African Stream recalled.

Taking advantage of the chaos generated by this assassination, Washington and its Caribbean allies decided to intervene militarily on the island through the “Urgent Fury” operation. Before this happened, however, the U.S. used various means to destabilize the Bishop administration.

    ECONOMIC ATTACKS

The United States government froze Grenada’s international credits. In addition, U.S. President Ronald Regan harshly criticized Bishop for establishing cooperation with Cuba.

When the invasion occurred in 1983, over 780 Cuban doctors, engineers and professionals were working in this Caribbean country.

    SUPPORT FOR THE OPPOSITION

The U.S. high command never hid its intention to invade Granada. Before consummating the invasion, however, attacks became customary. In June 1980, for example, right-wing terrorists exploded a bomb during a march of Bishop’s New Jewel Movement, killing three women.

Knowing and encouraging the violent practices of the opposition, the U.S. reiterated the need to end the government so that “a new Cuba would not be established in the Caribbean.”

    GRENADA IS STIGMATIZED

President Reagan assured that Grenada was a danger to American security and to the world due to Cuban participation in the construction of an international airport, which Washington presented as a Russian air base in the Caribbean. The purpose of this infrastructure, however, was to serve the promotion of tourism in Grenada.

There’s an interesting one [detail] that we saw very recently in a secret report from the State Department. I want to tell you about this one so you can reflect on it. That secret report made this point: That Grenada is different than Cuba and Nicaragua, and the Grenada revolution is, in one sense, “even worse,” using their language “than the Cuban and Nicaraguan revolutions, because the people of Grenada and the leadership of Grenada speak English, and therefore can communicate directly with the people of the United States.”

I can see from your applause, sisters and brothers, that you agree with the report, but I want to tell you what that same report also said. It said: “That [this] also makes us [Grenada] very dangerous. The people of Grenada and the leadership of Grenada are predominantly black.” They said that “95% of our [Grenada’s] population is black.” and they have correct statistics. And if we have 95% of predominantly African origin of our country, then “we can have a dangerous appeal to 30,000,000 black people in the United States.”

Learning how many Israelis are first or second generation colonists has really radicalized me on decolonizing Palestine. Around 30% of Israelis are foreign-born. They should go home. Another 30% are second generation - their parents had no right to be there and many still have ties to the old country. They should go home. If most Israelis can’t even rightfully claim that even their grandparents lived there, I see no reason to support “Israel’s right to exist.”

I’m mad. I had at least assumed that most Israelis could be considered “innocent civilians”, but no - the majority of them are actively involved in the genocide and colonization of Palestine. Makes me sick.

Second generation ought to be given a right to petition a Palestinian gov’t to stay imo. Case-by-case it.

Especially given that the youngest generations are much more amenable to freeing palestine than the older ones, according to polling. Not every second gen child could easily uproot and return to a nation of origin particularly given the fact that a lot of these families had all their shit taken by the Nazis to begin with.

What I don’t completely understand is why would Israel bother lying about bombing those people? If they are ashamed of killing that many innocents they certainly don’t show it with all the other hospital, mosque, and refugee bombings. The west isn’t going to meaningfully get in their way either way. They can kill as many innocents as they wish, Europeans and more importantly, Americans do not care

So Finland is currently debating if they should ban fascist and communist symbols, as one does. The ML party put out a statement (in finnish) that was pretty good all things considered, but what really got me was the end bit:

Regardless of the legality of open communist activity, communists must relentlessly defend the rights of the working class and all the oppressed and spread awareness of their interests and social status. Communists must not make concessions or compromises in order to be subservient to the rising fascism and right-wing tendencies.

The ban on communist symbols must be opposed. A legal, open communist party is the most effective way of promoting the working class class struggle and the struggle against other oppressions. The resistance must also be public.

Restricting the activities of communists has historically been a sign of a move towards fascism, and is always followed by a reduction of many other democratic rights, as well as an encroachment on the rights of workers and other oppressed people. All communists, leftists and democrats must stand together against this development.

The Communist Workers Party, together with other communist groups, will organise a demonstration/demonstrations against the banning of communist symbols. This will most probably take place at the end of October. In addition, the Communist Labour Party, together with the Finnish Communist Party, will make a statement on the subject, which will be published earlier.

emphasis mine. The Communist Labour Party is ML and the Finnish Communist Party was eurocommunist, but they’ve had solid line on Palestine and China which the ML party considers to be capitalist. What gets me that the smaller ML party fucking hates the communist party, but they are willing to work together on this atleast heart-sickle

    Press Statement

The hospital massacre in the Gaza Strip is a crime of genocide…

The horrific massacre carried out by the Zionist occupation in the Gaza City’s Al-Ahly Hospital which left hundreds of casualties, most of them displaced families, patients, children and women, is a crime of genocide that once again reveals the ugly face of this criminal enemy and its fascist and terrorist government.

This also exposes the American and Western support for this criminal occupation.

The international community and the Arab and Islamic countries must assume their responsibilities and intervene immediately, now and not tomorrow… to stop the arrogance of the occupation and its fascist army, and hold it accountable for the genocide it has been committing for the eleventh day in a row in the already blockaded area.
