Yea I learned my lesson from asoiaf, I’m fine waiting until a series is finished so I don’t end up waiting for the end of a story that won’t come

Now that I think about it an unfinished series was what killed my childhood interest in Star Wars. That and the whole legends/canon fiasco (young me was very invested in the Star Wars EU and was not happy about changes to canon lol)

It’s endlessly funny to me that America built up the largest military the world has ever seen, one that’s built around all these high-tech cutting edge wunderweapons, and it didn’t once occur to them that they should have the ability to actually produce the fucking things under less-than-perfect conditions (say if your goal is eventually declaring war on the county that sells you the basic building blocks needed for every weapon more complex than a bayonet)
