That’s the neat part: trans men are banned from both restrooms!

Moreover, women living in the male gender could also be excluded under paragraph 28 without this amounting to gender reassignment discrimination. This might be considered proportionate where reasonable objection is taken to their presence, for example, because the gender reassignment process has given them a masculine appearance or attributes to which reasonable objection might be taken in the context of the women-only service being provided. Their exclusion would amount to unlawful gender reassignment discrimination not sex discrimination absent this exception.

I guess they can piss outside or something???

  • In the context of macroeconomics, it refers to the idea that even if a country could make everything they need internally, it is ultimately cheaper for everyone if regions just specialized in producing stuff that they do better/cheaper than anyone else, and trade for the rest.

In a very simplistic sense, if Country A and Country B are each able to produce all the food and all the clothing that they need internally, but Country A is way better at making food and than clothing, and vice versa for Country B, it would make sense for Country A to just focus on producing a ton of food and import their clothing needs. Then everyone gets more stuff overall.

However, this implies that there are no geopolitical frictions between Country A and Country B. It works if countries can maintain friendly trade relations, but can make supply lines real fragile.

Also as homhom9000 says, sometimes “specializing” gets really stupidly specific.

  • On Saturday, leaders from 26 Western countries - plus two EU leaders and NATO’s secretary general - gathered for a virtual call of the “coalition of the willing”, hosted by Sir Keir after Volodymyr Zelenskyy accepted a 30-day interim ceasefire agreement.

Russia did not accept this ceasefire and has no reason to do so.

The prime minister said military chiefs would meet this Thursday to discuss the next “operational phase” in protecting Ukraine as part of a peacekeeping force - if a deal can be agreed with Russia.

Yeah Russia isn’t going to be okay with this.

Russia has repeatedly said it would not accept soldiers from NATO countries being stationed in Ukraine.

So they know that Russia isn’t going to be okay with this.

The spokesman also said he did not know if the US - notably absent from the coalition - will be joining the military chiefs’ meeting on Thursday, but said the UK is having “regular discussions with our American counterparts”.

    Lol.
