Am I misunderstanding the injury or does it look like you could clean off most of that blood with a wet paper towel?

People (it’s mostly guys) who take pics like this without cleaning it up at all annoy me because its a combination of “look how fucked up i got and how tough i am” with “Haha look how nonchalant and quirky i am” and it’s like, of course you’re nonchalant, it looks like you got into a jam jar and forgot you had hands, if you washed away blood there would be no serious wound, nothing scary or impressive to warrant a picture at all. I’m sure I looked worse than this in elementary school when I was the nosebleed kid.

      Might be glue?

The shine and the way it flakes, I feel pretty confident that it’s something similar to super glue. They use that stuff for closing wounds too.

You’re not wiping that off, a lot of that is bruising with the bloodier looking parts actually being stitches. Also a pretty good visual example of how the sunken circular structure of the eye socket protects the eyes. hahaha

20 stitches? I thought he only went to the hospital for “an abundance of caution” not because his face was falling out

      He’s the new Mitch McConnell.

The senator had a minor mishap. = Possible brain damage.

That’s not that bad. He’s a little dinged up, sure, but nothing too bad. You could superglue that shut.

If it’s big and deep enough you get 20 stitches you don’t want to superglue it.

Very fine sutures due to facial injury for minimal scarring? I have zero medical knowledge but I’m sure I’ve heard of that sort of thing.

Got it in one. You use very fine sutures placed closer together, which means the wound is very likely to reopen if subject to a lot of stress. BUT, very few people lift with their face.

Yeah 20 stitches for Fetterman isn’t the same as 20 stitches for a regular person coming into an emergency department.

          A buckfifty it aint.

i just mean that 20 stitches is kind of a lot and not “oh we were just being cautious” but it’s also good to point out him getting rich people cosmetic treatment when we poors would be lucky to retain our skin and our bank accounts with lesser treatment

It’s so sad to see someone’s neurological decline. Remember when he was just a regular likable guy that held a random black man at gunpoint?
