Can I just use this opportunity to say it sucks to be a midcareer nonconformist? You got your suspicions early enough that you didn’t buy in for the time it takes to become a true believer with valuable access, but you also didn’t have the foresight to plan your career around worming your way into the most sensitive systems in order to do maximum damage.
