There’s a lot of pressure on us to get married and live Happily Ever After. But what do you like about being single?

Ethical non-monogamy FTW. I don’t have to compromise my needs to fulfill theirs that they can get from other partners, so there’s rarely a need to walk on eggshells or not communicate my needs or discomfort in order to satisfy their needs.

Anyway, sucks that I’m essentially single right now as I don’t have a partner (locally) to do impromptu stuff with, but I made some major life changes and have to mostly start over now…when I have energy.

I can do WTF I want at all times. Too cold? I put the heating on. Want to go on holiday? I can. Want to watch a tv show? My choice. No compromising just exactly what I want at all times

Pretty much same. At this point I’m not sure if the idea of a relationship even appeals to me anymore. Sharing a bed and cupboard and your general space 24/7 also frightens me a bit at this point.

I think that if I did start dating or whatever again, the idea of relationship anarchy appeals to me these days. The part about keeping expectations and feelings of ownership in check. And respecting that other people are individuals with their own lives.

That sounds great, I could do that. There’s no reason you can’t still ‘sleep over’ or even spend the week or practically live together anyway. As long as each person still has their space to retreat to (without anyone getting upset about it) and no one is left feeling trapped in their own life.

Even if you lived in the house, because let’s face it times are tough, at the very least seperate bedrooms are a must.

My partner and I have been happily together for 40 years, but on those occasions when he is gone for a day or two I glory in the freedom to do what I want, when I want, how I want. By the third day though, I want him back under my feet!

Almost a 1:1 copy here. Sometimes she drives me insane, but life isn’t as good without her in it. ( if you see a dutch oven and a beer or wiskey on the porch, 99.999% chance she ain’t home)

    Science.

I hypothesized my butt hairs may never stop growing if I don’t wax. I’m at eight centimeters for the longest one.

If I ever get locked in a tower, just give me a couple months and I’ll Rapunzel my way out.

I have short sleep cycles. So I sleep at 0100 and wake up at 0600.

She needs like 12 hours of sleep.

I also do improv travel. Hop on the train to get some photos. But if she’s here I feel like dragging her around if I want to get out
