There’s a lot of pressure on us to get married and live Happily Ever After. But what do you like about being single?

I can do WTF I want at all times. Too cold? I put the heating on. Want to go on holiday? I can. Want to watch a tv show? My choice. No compromising just exactly what I want at all times

Pretty much same. At this point I’m not sure if the idea of a relationship even appeals to me anymore. Sharing a bed and cupboard and your general space 24/7 also frightens me a bit at this point.

I think that if I did start dating or whatever again, the idea of relationship anarchy appeals to me these days. The part about keeping expectations and feelings of ownership in check. And respecting that other people are individuals with their own lives.

That sounds great, I could do that. There’s no reason you can’t still ‘sleep over’ or even spend the week or practically live together anyway. As long as each person still has their space to retreat to (without anyone getting upset about it) and no one is left feeling trapped in their own life.

Even if you lived in the house, because let’s face it times are tough, at the very least seperate bedrooms are a must.

My partner and I have been happily together for 40 years, but on those occasions when he is gone for a day or two I glory in the freedom to do what I want, when I want, how I want. By the third day though, I want him back under my feet!

Almost a 1:1 copy here. Sometimes she drives me insane, but life isn’t as good without her in it. ( if you see a dutch oven and a beer or wiskey on the porch, 99.999% chance she ain’t home)
