None of this matters, unless it leads to some sort of consequences. Which they have shown that they are basically immune since they own the courts.

I envy future people able to just read about this. I’m so tired.

Then again, if things go wrong, future people reading history books will only read about how Trump successfully subjugated evil democracy and won the second American civil war waged by twelve nefarious frog costume antifa singing the terrorist anthem, “This Land is Your Land.”

Yeah I know the feeling. I’m tired too. When all is said and done this douche nozzle has been president or seriously affecting politics for almost 14 years or more than 1/4 of my life. Possibly longer if he doesn’t die or somehow illegally gets a third term.

I might be the eternal optimist but this quote comes to mind:

The arc of history is long, but it bends toward justice,” words spoken by Theodore Parker, an abolitionist minister in 1853.

This is often attributed to MLK Jr. but he just popularized it to “The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice.”, but basically the same thing.

The way I see it, even Germany survived Hitler. It could be argued that Hitler was more intelligent and charismatic than Trump, while committing far worse atrocities. I don’t know exactly what life was like in Germany between the 1920s and 1940s, but I’d like to think the United States is more resilient to that kind of infection, though that’s mostly just hope. Still, I’m surprised every day that things have gotten as far as they have. We may yet reach a similar point

    Hm.

The unhinged right wing, the corporate media, the “centrists” and lots of liberal scolds love to tell everyone that Russia was a “hoax”.

I thought it was the right wing and the far-leftoids that claim russia is a hoax.

Liberals and the moderate right-wingers were leading the investigations into it.

The “far left” that simps for fascist states and spends more time attacking liberals and actual American socialists than “conservatives” for some reason.
