Vance is probably an atheist just like his wife. The “conversion” was a cynical performative move to appease the Christian whackjobs. And he was tone-deaf enough to become a Catholic. The fundies are temporary allies, but historically, they’re more comfortable burning Catholics alive then befriending them.
And Vance is so arrogant that, soon after his conversion, he was lecturing the Pope on empathy. What a fucking skidmark. The Pope was so impressed that he died rather than having to deal with Vance again.

If Trump drops dead, I wouldn’t put it past him to pose as a great reformer. It doesn’t matter to Vance where the bus is going, as long as he’s the one driving.
