ABC fucking took him off the air:

Walt Disney-owned ABC confirmed on Wednesday, Sept. 17, that it will indefinitely suspend “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” after the head of the Federal Communications Commission condemned comments made by the Emmy-winning comedian.

    Emperor Manicula’s tweet.

This is the President of the United States, tweeting about a talk show host. Everything has gone to shit so quickly and thoroughly that sometimes you have to take a step outside of it, back to the before times, to clear your head… and then you are once again returned to the realization that the fucking President is tweeting about talk show hosts.

Man, this guy is a fucking loser.

I mean, the FCC does not have any power over the content of cable television stations like Fox News. Not that they would do anything if they could, the hypocrites, but still. ABC is a Broadcast station, the content of which is in the FCC’s purview, so it’s not exactly apples to apples. Doesn’t mean it’s not partisan reactionary bullshit.

Well, first this one loser had this stupid idea about a book of faces, but a bunch of Russians and some other evil people like peter thiel invested in it and all the politicians were bought and paid for and this heritage group had some foundations they created and the masses were consumed with distraction and shiny things and self absorbed regurgitation not realizing they were actually being brainwashed and conditioned and feeding the system which would ultimately lead to their destruction.

      Tada!

Guys, the FCC content rules only apply to Broadcast stations, like ABC. Fox News is cable. Its content is not regulated by the FCC at all. They don’t have jurisdiction.

If Fox News has straight-face lied to its viewers ONLY 25 times a day for the past 29 years, that’s 264,625 actual lies, not jokes.

So after Fox publicly and explicitly apologizes 264,625 times for each of its egregious lies, we can then entertain the idea of apologizing for delivering truth in the form of a joke on a comedy show.

“[This] appears to be an action by Jimmy Kimmel to play into the narrative that this was somehow a MAGA or Republican-motivated person,” Carr said. “What people don’t understand is that the broadcasters … have a license granted by us at the FCC, and that comes with it an obligation to operate in the public interest. When we see stuff like this, look, we can do this the easy way or the hard way. These companies can find ways to change conduct, on Kimmel, or there’s going to be additional work for the FCC ahead.”

Revoke their broadcast license, to make it impossible for them to be on the air with their distributors.

Generally productions are a multi-stage process with several companies involved.

Unless everyone works together, from content creation all the way down to distribution, some part of the chain will comply with the federal government. They unfortunately don’t need to do anything physical - the show is already dependent on several entities.

It’s pathetic what Trump and his band of goons are doing to America.

I almost moved to the US at one point. It’s never been perfect but I grew up seeing it as a force that did bring about a lot of good in the world.

    This is pathetic.
