This is a classical problem of tolerating intolerance. Continuing on that path, and USA will be a dictatorship within 3 years.
You claim the extreme should be treated with tolerance, and that’s exactly what the paradox of tolerance tells us will only increase intolerance, and in this case increase the power of the extreme right and fascism in USA.
I don’t tolerate intolerance, and I would never suggest that it should be tolerated. I also don’t tolerate violence against anyone, let alone glorify it, and I don’t find those postures to be in tension at all.

Then what should realistically be done about the intolerant when they enforce their intolerance on others (i.e. what people like Kirk are doing)?
