It looks like anti-migrant rage bait, it probably is. But Ukranians are treated so much better then other migrants with full welfare and a right to work. Come from anywhere else outside the EU on you are either in a glorified concentration camp or sleeping on the streets waiting out your application. Centerist politicians will excuse it because of their European christian heritage.

Every step will be made a excruciatingly slow as possible because they hope you somehow have money to make the flight home to warn everybody there. Meanwhile stormtroopers on the streets will constantly verbally abuse you, set fire to your tents, glass you or beat you to a pulp. If somebody volunteers to help you, they are doxed and piled on by bots 24/7, their family are piled on. These volunteers often have to scrub their online identity and flee the country themselves.

If you don’t have the money the fly home and you have no possible way to raise it then you will be forcibly deported with your family. Their school mates will watch your kids be bundled into vans by what might as well as be sexual predators. You will be surrounded by police boarding the plane, the same police who ignored the years of abuse you got and probably engaged in some of it off-duty. This multi-million euro single deportation of you and your family will be heralded by countries most likely next leader as “value for money”.

This is in Ireland. One of the countries idealised on hexbear because our spineless politicans made some uncomfortable meaingless noises about Palestine to cynically distract us from the fact that they are letting kids get crushed by their own spines. Their supporters have peak redditor energy, all they think about is national defense from a country that has to tow it’s aircraft carriers. And some integral part of that national defense is not patrolling our seas but sending soldiers without UN approval to fight Frances wars in Africa.

My mum and grandmother absolutely beat into me (sometimes literally) that you feed guests.

I don’t care if you’re here for 30 minutes you will be offered food, and when you politely refuse I am just going to lay out food anyway.

The idea of not offering someone food and it not being intended as a slight is wild to me. Sharing food to reenforce bonds is so universal there are bread-sharing rituals on every continent.

This is like learning Danes don’t laugh.

You will be offered a hob nob and a cup of tea in most of the UK tbh.

In fact, not offering someone a cup of tea or coffee is pretty damn rude. Even quick visitors get offered.

The offered food part is just not true. The overall context of the picture seem to imply that denmark favour ukrainians, presumable before anyone else. There were made holes in the extremely strict anti-immigration/refugee laws intented for ukrainians, which might have promted this picture. But that really shouldn’t be used against the ukrainians, rather it should be used to present the danish state as a massive hypocrite.
