I think that’s the “only Democrats have agency” thing that comes up. When Republicans are horrible shits people are just like yeah they’re horrible but like you don’t blame the bear for doing bear stuff. But everyone else is held to normal human standards
Authoritarians are masters of compartmentalization. They cannot and will not connect any dots that conflict with their predetermined world view. Their brains do not function rationally and they are incapable of drawing rational conclusions.

No, you don’t blame the bear. You cage it in a zoo or euthanize it for getting too comfortable around people.
You also don’t vote for the fucking bear and put him in a position of power.
If you got a bear terrorizing your neighborhood, you don’t put him in charge of the HOA.
It’s not all their fault, but by God it’d be nice to see them fight the republicans at least as hard as they fight the leftists in their own party.
