Trump launches an invasion of Greenland but the planes all fall apart mid-flight and the troops end up as popsicles in the North Atlantic Ocean.

The aircraft fail during invasion because a critical component was not designed to handle just how cold the weather is in that region

Skimping on hardened devices capable of handling said weather saved Lockheed Martin 10 dollars per plane

The ‘fix’ costs 50 million dollars and all F 35s grounded for months

The next time this pilot crashes an F-35 we will cheer their safe ejection.

Remember when the ejection system used to decapitate the pilot on use?

    Good times

And when they couldn’t fly in the rain because it would short out the electrical systems?

He’s safe but a couple inches shorter. If he does it again he will never fly again

    https://www.reddit.com/r/aviation/comments/1iclncy/longer_footage_of_the_f35a_crash_earlier_today_at/

The best quality video I’ve seen so far. I’m so curious about the cause. A flat spin from that altitude with landing gear down is a really strange way to see one crash.

Lol I saw this video. The plane was just in a flat freefall and it wasn’t even the vertical takeoff/landing version!

Is there still this rule of thumb that an active ejection makes you like a half inch shorter?

Or maybe the new ejections seats are better. They have to be, look how many crashes there are!
