I was there for 20 years. I remember at least one contractor had an event, maybe even two. It blew the windows out of a near by apartment complex. But technically that wasn’t on the arsenal.

I used to live in Huntsville Alabama. lots of military contractors making rockets. Every once in a while they exploded.
It didn’t help that on one end of redstone arsenal was a bomb disposal school and at the other end was a demolition school.
Shit was blowing up all the time, and making the walls rattle. And you never knew if it was on purpose or an accident.
From my perspective it was worse back then. I lived in a small town, when the war ended all the factories shut down, the town started to die and we almost ended up homeless. If my uncle hadn’t helped us out, my life would have been a different story. Then just as we started to get back on our feet the oil embargo hit and the off shoring started. The current reality isn’t near as bad.
Mostly mindless vandalism and stupidity.
Also you do know there was the Vietnam war and the oil embargo, right? That all the factories shut down in the 70’s and nobody had any work because everything got outsourced to asia.

Pretty much par for the course. In the retirement community where i live amazon delivery trucks keep smashing gates and driving up on lawns. Amazon won’t even respond to local government messages and definitely isn’t paying for the damage without a court battle.
