Do you know the saying, the revolution devours all its children.
The electric car revolution is over. Tesla is over.

Who’s going to get the data?
I’ve been expecting this for a good while.
Rule #1 Never believe his announcements. They may be true or not.
Rule #2 Always assume that most people believe in him and his announcements.
Rule #3 After applying the rules #1 and #2, sometimes you can see what he is trying to achieve with the announcement itself.
Most times it is about inflating his ego. Often it is about pushing (manipulating) the stock market.
So when he recently announced to "be allocating far more of my time to Tesla.” I immediately thought the hell you want to donate them your oh so precious time, again, suddenly (there would even be admitting a fault in it if he actually did), no you just want the stocks to stay up. And so I concluded that he doesn’t feel like taking responsibility at Tesla anymore.
The most difficult part isn’t your american taxes it’s making sure you’re paying taxes correctly in your new country.
Not the taxes. It is the mandatory health insurance, old age insurance, unemployment insurance etc. and I was saying that in case the employer is in America and has no clue about such duties.
It will make it easier if you work for a multinational company
Yes, for sure.
Unions on a global scale. A very interesting development.
If you owe money to the government, is it a good excuse then to say you don’t have any?
Yes, well done, Belgium!
Usa must learn to keep their laws inside their own country, especially when they are conflicting with other country’s laws.
And they must learn what data privacy means, which they are lacking so terribly.
I don’t think so. Why would they close your account?
But of course they would, if the bank has subsdiaries inside Usa where they must observe their laws.
working an american job remotely in Europe
Very unlikely. The administrative tasks around tax and social insurance are extremely difficult to do for American companies in America (just imagine learning the neccessary “legalese” in a foreign language), and they take a good share of the salary, which comes as a surprise to most. But if you try to “simply” ignore it all, you become several kinds of criminal.
We all need to learn to use charging cables for charging, and data cables for data connections, and not use these general purpose cables anymore. Maybe not today, but sooner or later there will be some widespread malware that teaches us the hard way.
Nobody hires you because of whatever you are running away from.
If you get hired, it is because of 1. what skills and experiences you bring with you, 2. how well these fit to the open position, and 3. how much of it you can prove (should be 100% - you better don’t claim it if you can’t prove it).
One very, very, veryvery important “extra question” is the language skill. It is not because we Europeans would emphasize language, but because the language skills are missing so often with immigrants.
LMAO!!
They know. Some other article has explained it. It’s not easy for everyone to understand.
Here you do not own it. The owner can request it back. But you can’t be bothered to walk to the post office and pay for shipping it back. So you have to keep it available for him to (come or send someone and) pick it up. At least 3 weeks iirc, unless it is perishable goods. Then you can throw it away. If he does not request it back, then you own it after some time (I forgot how long, half a year maybe).

Bad pattern.
The moment when GitHub was bought by M$, the risk of such behavior started.
Throw it away
If you opened it, and do not wish to keep it, you may simply dispose of it in the garbage, as long as it is safe to do so.
Keep it
If you opened it and you like it, you may keep it. By law, you may keep unsolicited merchandise and are under no obligation to pay for it.
Note that this may be correct only in Usa. Different in other countries.
Greenland also has the option of leaving Denmark
And what a funny “option” it is. Even the most boneheaded separatists there have smelled the true smell in the winds from the west by now, and of course even they like a few more hugs and kisses with Denmark so much better.
I will never go back to reddit, but oh, how I miss r/shitamericanssay ;-)
Well done, Frederik & Frederiksen.
There are four of them?
