  • Over the past year or so I’ve seen “Chad” cross over from north-central African-adjacent online geography spaces to general internet lingo. In the process it seems like the meaning has shifted though. To me it was a catch-all term for landlocked countries between Libya and the Central African Republic in general

    It seems in non-geographical usage Chad is just the cheerleader-banging wojak and basically means “weird attractive muscular guy with an active sex life and implied massive dong.” The Chad is not worthy of admiration because of his rich cultural heritage, but because he gets laid. The original geographic context of the word has been stripped and replaced by high school insecurities

    Are they gonna take Djibouti away from us next
