Another factor not addressed is the erosion of Community while raising a child. You used to get support from everyone living around you. People are not ready to hear this, but the problem is that “Housing” is being treated as a market, not a basic human right. As long as governments are full of homeowners who will lose a lot of money should the house prices go down as a result of abundance, the problem will keep getting worse.
