They’ve been banned lol, just woke up to this report and thought it was too got not to share.
Also the banning is not my doing, my moderation style is to wait until they’ve been bullied so much that they report to me and I make sure they’re bullied harder.
I’m a fan of banning as a measure to protect marginalized comrades, but leaving the goobers here to drool on themselves if they aren’t harassing anyone. It’s always too funny.
Then again, I’m a Lemmy.ml account and not a native hexbear, so my words don’t matter much after all for another instance.
I’ll ban immediately if someone is trying to harm comrades, but letting debate bros wallow in shit for a while is fun.
I also usually only get like 3-4 reports/month here. Admins are good at handing the really bad stuff and my job as moderator is basically just this and occasionally telling someone to put an NFSW tag on a post.
Not that there aren’t reportable posts, but the general vibe of this site is to allow users to self moderate as much as possible and only step in when absolutely necessary, and stepping in usually means a lifetime ban.
