I want drivers to be as afraid of me on my bike or skates or feet as I am of them when every single one of them drives as if they are actively trying to kill me.

When I first moved to the city many years ago I saw a biker with a heavy chain and heavy lock riding around an intersection swinging it menacingly near cars. At the time I thought he was probably dangerous but the more I think on it the more I realized he was probably just cool
Why yes I did almost get hit 3 times during a measly 10 mile city bike today
Back when motorists and car companies were starting to force everyone else off the street, “pedestrian safety” was very controversial. I remember reading a short, sarcastic letter to a newspaper that said, paraphrased, “when crossing the street, I take out my handgun, point it squarely at oncoming traffic to the left until I reach the midpoint, then switch to aiming at the oncoming traffic to the right”.
