I assume that Israel is lying and underplaying the numbers here because they always do for their own injured. But even going off their own numbers, 100K out of ~700K is catastrophic. And 100K injured out of a population of ~9.4M (in Israel), which will mostly be young people like 18-40-ish because that’s who is in any military, also seems insanely high. That’s like 1% of the total population, young people who were likely to do some form of labor for another 30-60 years, depending, now will totally unproductive or less productive. They’ve created problems that will haunt Israel (in more ways than one) for generations.
