    As a Canadian I see this as good. I don’t have really any preference with countries we trade with, but I do have preferences of countries we shouldn’t trade with, and this is steps in the right direction.

    Any strengthening of ties between Canada and the EU is a net positive for the western world. Canada can replace Russia for energy and raw materials with the side benefit also being able to build anything and the space to do so.

    I don’t think there’s any real way to bring Canada into the EU but the two can get a lot closer.
