A friend of mine used to sell weed. His ex ratted him out and he got busted, weed was taken and he got a fine.
“So what are you going to do now?”
“Well, now I just have to sell a little more next month to pay my fine.”

There’s been a lot of impersonated accounts popping up lately, so it doesn’t surprise me they’ve opted to do something like this.
I probably learned that as well but just don’t remember it. I do know we’ve developed a lot of different hybrids from the Morden research station over the years. (I used to live across the street from there, years back.)
Ya, I would assume that although the name originated from here, it’s grown throughout the prairies and probably the states as well.
Still interesting to know that our name is attached to it though. I’ve always thought that “manitoba flour” was just regular flour that was local.
To be honest I never knew we shipped our flour that far. (I live in Manitoba)
I think for the most part we realize that we are not perfect by any stretch, and instead of bragging about what we do or don’t have, many of us would prefer to just try our best to make our corner of the planet as nice as we can. We are, after all, made up of people from all over the world and I think that’s one of our greatest strengths.
I agree that part is a bit much, but I’m not the one that made it.
All you need to know about that slimy POS
Get out and vote! If you need an election kit mailed to you go to https://elections.ca/ and sign up. It takes less than 15 minutes. Edit: forgot to add, Deadline is April 22, but I’d recommend ASAP! Every vote Counts!
That was my thought… approx 1/3 also voted for the chonk-in-charge. What a strange Coincidence. /s
Ya I figured something along those lines after seeing the other replies lol
I’m all for it, but we’re gonna need some better rail lines heading up there and maybe an all-season road or two to go with it. Right now the options are pretty limited… one railway line or flying.
What was the comment? I didn’t get a chance to read it before it was deleted.
Edit: never mind… I don’t think I care.
This is exactly why PP wants to axe CBC. He can’t hide in the shadows when they keep ratting him out.
This was my first time as well, and to be honest I think it’s the way to go. I didn’t expect it to be so smooth.
I went to elections.ca (If memory serves it was on a Thursday) filled out the form and submitted a pic of my I.D. and submitted it. By Tuesday it was in my mail, (could have been there on Monday but I didn’t check) Filled it out, put it into the envelope and sign it, which then goes into another outer envelope, and mail it back. Done, Easy Peazy.
Now I don’t have worry about getting to the polling station on time, or to wait in any lines, and don’t have to worry about picking up any of the numerous viruses going around.
I think a lot comes down to the propaganda machines. Our conservatives pay millions of dollars to things like “Canada proud” to spread bullshit and divide us. We need to drag this crap out of the shadows and beat them down relentlessly in the light of day.
I don’t know if we will win the fight, but we sure as fuck are NOT going to give up.
This isn’t even our final form.
We need to get out there and destroy Little trump jr (Pierre Poilievre’s conservatives) and stop them from selling us out.
If any Canadians need a voting kit you can go to https://elections.ca/ and sign up for one there. Takes less than 15 minutes. (Deadline is April 22 but I’d suggest to get it done ASAP!)
All you need is a pic of your I.D. to confirm and they will mail you your kit. I got mine within a week and I already filled it out and it’s on its way back.
I mean… isn’t that exactly what trump is there to do? He’s a russian asset after all, he’s not looking out for the usa.
Interesting. I meant “boots on the ground” overseas in the context of foreign intelligence as per the article.
Doesn’t surprise me that of course they have to stick their noses into other peoples business at the bequest of the conservatives.
I thought so too, but from what I understand CSIS doesn’t do boots on the ground type work (overseas), and mainly just gathers data. (Wildbus’s comment below claims they do still harass canadians here at home though)
Sounds more the case that while we do HAVE an intelligence service, they are underfunded and restricted in their abilities do do as much as they may need to.
Just to point out voting by mail is easy and you don’t have to deal with polling locations or standing in lines and risk catching a virus. You can go to https://elections.ca/ and get a voting kit mailed to you. Takes less than 15 minutes from your couch. (Deadline is April 22 but I’d recommend ASAP)
Let’s kick this little trumponian wanna-be out on his ass!
If Poilievre wins, so does Trump. If you haven’t, GET OUT AND VOTE TODAY!
