People are always saying some stupid fucking shit like “milk is good” or whatever. My parents forced me to drink cow’s milk for like the first 15 years of my life and the hatred will never leave me. Discovering much later that plant-based milks are chill was pretty rad for this reason.

i remember when i was younger my father had an absolute fit over my becoming lactose intolerant and said i was faking it for attention lmao. ours was a drink dairy with most meals household but now i shudder at the thought. like soy milk is right there being one of the tastiest drinks in the world and everything
I think dairy advocates deserve a terrible fate due to incidents just like this tbh.

When I was a kid I hated drinking milk because I thought it tasted like cheese and I didnt like cheese either
Found out that our fridge sucked ass and my adoptive mother has adhd and would regularly leave the milk out until it was warm so I was just drinking warm milk all the time

What are some of your favorite plantmilks?
Growing up, I had a lot of rice milk (rather liked it) and soy milk (didn’t really like it).
My greatest crime is that I’ve only tried oat milk so far, which I adore passionately. I don’t think I’ve ever see rice milk for sale, and if my local places have soy milk I haven’t seen it out. Sometimes plant milks are with the dairy stuff, sometimes they get sequestered into their own sections…

I think they’re usually in the juice/soda aisle because most of them are shelf stable. (+1 reason in favor)
My local health food store has rice, soy, oat, almond, coconut, and macadamia nut. The Walmart at least carries Rice Dream.
When I switched to oat milk for morning cereal, I thought it was going to be one of those “I’ll grudgingly tolerate the substitute” situations. Turns out I genuinely prefer it way more. Oat milk in hot chocolate is also an incredibly tasty combination.
Do they do vegan hot chocolate? Kinda curious now…
