In the US, Labor Day is culturally considered the last day of summer. Thus the day after Labor Day is the first day of autumn. Like early winter is Christmas season, early autumn is Halloween season.
That is my excuse to start celebrating spooky season next Tuesday.

Here I am in Germany where Halloween isn’t that popular so I bought the first Christmas cookies from the store last week.

Haven’t heard “all I want for Christmas is you” yet… but then I usually shop with headphones on, so that doesn’t necessarily mean anything.
Can confirm. End of August is when they start putting it in stores. I’m not even mad, but it’s basically tradition to complain about it and it’s fun to do too.
Or fuck off and wait for October instead of expanding holiday seasons until they mean nothing. Go do autumn stuff and leave Halloween alone.
If Christmas gets everything after the 31st, then spooky season starts July 5.
