  • Ethiopia managed to keep the British out with something very similar.

There was a bit of a snafu, and the British sent soldiers to accompany a diplomatic envoy.

The Ethiopians made a big show of marching soldiers around the British while the diplomats negotiated.

The message was clear “we are not interested in violence, we will however use it.”

The British left. They managed to keep the Italians out by kicking their ass. Repeatedly.

Non violent protest can work, if the implicit message is that “We will resort to violence if we need to. We are doing you a favor by being peaceful, do not mistake our kindness for submission.”

  • The overall plot, there is a worm in your head and you need to stop the BBEG from invading the city and killing everyone doesn’t change, no.

The stories with the individual characters change dramatically based on your choices. That’s the main reason I kept playing through it. Needed to see what happens if I let Gail have the crown, needed to see if I could save Karlach. Wanted to let Lae’zel take the lead and see what happens. What if I’m the dark urge but don’t want to be? Lots of different small stories.

  • An economist is at a baseball game when he sees a man outraged that a hotdog costs twelve dollars, and a beer costs 20. “I just wanted to have a fun day with my family, but tickets are suddenly 100 dollars! Now this?!”

What an idiot, the economist thinks. Can’t he see the revenue he’s generating?? The economist pays 64 dollars for two hotdogs and two beers, which he immediately drops on the ground, which makes him very happy.
