Oh come on, they aren’t all like that.

This one is great for those who want to smell farts blasted right into their faces.

concept for airlines that's very cramped and ass to mouth

That feels so claustrophobic for the poor belowdecks person. You think they do seating based on phobia for this shit? You know, make the experience of flying just a tiny bit more miserable with bodily dread and stuff?

Not just airlines (or rather plane manufacturers) but bus and train manufacturers, too. And car makers when it comes to the back seats. Basically any company producing means of multi-person transportation.

Not just airlines (or rather plane manufacturers)

Distance between seats is determined by the airline, not the plane manufacturers. The seats mount on rails and are easily moved around by the airlines to optimize amount of possible seats.

I have a Mustang, it’s a convertible. I’d honestly rather NOT have the back seats. They are useless anyway, I’d rather just have a 2 seater sports car.

WestJet says feedback and operational data about the scaled-back 28-inch seat pitch, which reduced legroom, prompted the airline to change its “cabin-configuration approach” on aircraft where seating had been “densified.”

I’m 5ft 2 and I feel like I barely fit in an airplane seat. And God forbid I have to use the restroom during the flight.

Restrooms smaller than portable Scotty potties.

I’m not someone who has claustrophobia but I’ll be real. Those restrooms feel like a coffin. And being on a flight longer 2 hours is a test of my mental fortitude.

I’ve been on an airplane a few times for about 9 hours and I honestly felt slightly traumatized by the experience.

Id love to travel to farther places but I don’t think I can handle those 13 hr flights.

All so rich people can rent entire apartments in the sky. Their seats get bigger while ours get smaller, doubly so for bathrooms.

two hour flight to London with RyanAir was an absolute nightmare for me, and i’m ~196 cm which isn’t even that tall.

it really sucks that my options are either to suffer or to pay more.

16 cm is a pretty big difference. Thats almost 10% and surely more than a standard deviation above.

That’s being bigger, not looming over everyone. Find yourself in a group of Asian tourists who are often not even chest height for some good looming.

195cm is definitely tall! At 200cm, I can literally no longer fly unless I save up for business class. My legs simply do not fit into a coach seat. Coach hurts. I would have to be a contortionist to attempt coach.

I think the worldwide average for men is something like 172-175cm so you are definitely tall. That said, it’s still abhorrent that some people are not allowed to fly remotely comfortably because of a handful of their genes.
