So the head of a church (priest/preacher/pastor, whomever calls them self father) calls in asking why he’s getting charged taxes on apps in his app store. Says he bought two new iPhone 17 pro max’s tax free (one for his wife one for him) and his computers should be tax free because “they are for the church”. Your apps aren’t for the church. Your phone is not for the church, God didn’t demand you answer a phone or download an app… get back to your damn church and pay your sales taxes person who points his phone at a Donald Trump tie and thinks you are the person who isn’t the mooch

I will agree religion is for those who need something to believe in. It’s nothing to be ashamed of nor need help or ask for it especially in the society that has been built for us. So I would say. Religion is something that prays on those in need, but we do not provide for as a society.

If someone believes in what Jesus was, they would simply state helping everyone is right.

Jesus doesn’t believe in borders or crimes, if you do… You aren’t a Christian

That’s a strawman, because you are misrepresenting the original commenter to make them sound less credible.

The problem with religion is the lack of standards. Grown-ass adults pretend magic is real and there is no limiting the harm they might do as a result.

          strawmanning God to “magic”…

and it isn’t a strawman, you saw one example of an american protestant and said “religion”

          thats a generalization fallacy

            strawmanning God to “magic”…

Your only argument for him is special pleading. You insist we cannot comprehend or sense him, yet you pretend to know he’s there somehow.

Sky daddy is a magic wizard who lives in your brain. It’s not a straw man. It’s an accurate description of your mental illness.

He came down to earth as the Son of Man. And my argument for God is basic philosopy and logic

He came down to earth as the Son of Man.

To solve problems of his own creation in needlessly violent fashion, I know the story.

And my argument for God is basic philosopy and logic

Half of philosophy is as baseless as theology. There is no grounded standards. You’re bad at applying logic, too. All you have are fallacies.

            thats a generalization fallacy

It’s not. Religion is primarily about lying to get what you want. Evangelical protestantism is one example, but magical thinking is always harmful.

Literally none. The problem of evil/suffering definitively disproves a god that is both loving and powerful.

Our first parents willfully chose to rebel against God, thereby sinning and introducing death and other negative consequences, including suffering, into man’s earthly existence

ALL OF WHICH IS GOD’S FAULT IF HE IS ALL-POWERFUL. What part of that are you struggling to understand?

Why are innocent children killed for the mistakes their ancestors made?

Stop outsourcing your thinking. Shitty apologetics are like AI to you, they hallucinate and tell you what you want to hear and you pretend it is fact.
