I am a tiny investor, not a pro, not really even that knowledgeable of an amateur. But for the few companies that I do have some investment in, yes actually I do keep an eye on how they are doing. Every quarter I can spend ~2 minutes checking if things look basically good and if things are going the way the management said.
When things are off, that’s my opportunity to do a quick reality check whether this still is the best place for my money.

I’m willing to bet they’ll try to scrap even annual reporting next, and then ultimately shift to “release reports one week after each presidential election”
