The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) says filming and posting videos of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents constitutes “violence,” and has threatened to potentially charge people who take videos and photos of agents conducting immigration raids in their communities, despite First Amendment protections. DHS Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs Tricia McLaughlin told the…
If you’re in public you can be filmed. Idk man. If “law enforcement” has to hide their identities, then maybe they are doing something they know they shouldn’t be doing. The whole point of a uniform and badge is so that people can identify them as well as hold them accountable. If they wear plain clothes and hide their identities, then people will think they are a criminal/abductor and might react as such.
I’ve been wondering if this is already happening.
If, in the US, a bunch of masked guys not wearing any identifying badge or uniforms jump out of an unmarked van to abduct people, those guys are going to get shot at some point.
It seems like that would be a logical outcome. I’m not in the states, but if somebody rolls up trying to snatch a neighbor off the street, and they’re saying they’re the police but they don’t look like police and have no ID, I’m assuming they are criminals
this is my guess to as why they do their kidnappings at government buildings, jobsites, and schools. places people arent allowed to be armed. they do grab people off the streets, but as far as the news has shown, places trumps has declared ‘war zones’ have been cities with restrictive gun rights. cali and NY are known as places its hard to own guns. in DC i believe they are banned.
having home security cams is now a criminal offense ? or does a house have more rights than a person ?
what about flock cameras ? they are a private company are they committing crimes ?
“Privacy for me, not for thee.”
There must be in-groups whom the law protects but does not bind, alongside out-groups whom the law binds but does not protect.
Well, without posting the video it wouldn’t be considered doxxing. But I don’t agree that it’s possible to dox an LEO since they’re civil servants.
Dear DHS and ICE,
Tough shit. The camera rolls. And since I’m thinking about you, fuck off.
Sincerely,
Pigtails
When everything you do is a crime because they say it is, you may as well make the crime count.
Kirk sets a good example.
For the US cities close to the Canadian border.
We’ve got you covered!
How it feels using my big lens tbh
Will someone think of the poor innocent gestapo agents?
If people know who they are, they might be subjected to the rule of law, and that would be fuckin’ terrible.
