They said this was going to create a rift among chuds. I was told I was being a bad leftist for not giving them the benefit of the doubt and seeing their humanity.

The chuds in my office sure loved talking about The List until Trump started acting like the guiltiest man alive. Now it’s like it was never a thing.

I’m conflicted because on the one hand, you’re right, just today Epstein victims spoke out at a presser, but on the other hand, OP is right too - give it another couple of weeks and we’ll see if anyone cares. At the end of the day I think nothing is going to happen myself, Trump will just say it’s AI fake news and Maxwell will get pardoned and we’ll cook to death in the autumn heat.

I see Epstein posts all over the front page of reddit every day. It’s all over the front page of reddit right now. There’s a bunch of posts today about Epstein’s victims creating an Epstein client list.

Just a few days ago there was a story about leaked emails showing Epstein was in communication with Ehud Barak (former prime minister of Israel) and Peter Thiel, talking about the public surveillance industry.

dot world too, you get these posts about illegal military occupation and ramblings about how to make it worse and then some dipshit is like “That’s cool, release the Epstein files”. Like, yeah you got me, martial law is totally a distraction and not even worth talking about, can’t believe I fell for it…

it’s just completely wild to me that they can be so confidently smug about this and they think they have some sort of point they’re making

For the sake of record, (the front page changes frequently), I screenshotted the first 2 pages of /r/all and highlighted all of the posts related to Epstein. Most of the posts are mentioning Epstein as a way to attack Trump. Epstein being an Israeli intelligence asset with ties to Peter Thiel is not something that makes it to the front page of reddit.

      spoiler

Maybe not anti-list but the official position of most libs for years has been that Epstein killed himself because the mainstream media said so and anyone who claims anything otherwise is a kooky conspiracy theorist

That and it wasn’t just Clinton they defended, even when Bill Gates gave that borderline self incriminating answer to the interview question about Epstein the media just moved on and libs continue to treat any criticism of Bill Gates as exclusively coming from anti vax cranks (even as just last week Bill Gates had a private meeting with Trump and then proceeded to cut all his funding to democrats, rewarding libs slavish loyalty to him the same way Elon did)

Idk, “Epstein didn’t kill himself” was all over the internet, regardless of left/right. Yeah nobody ever did anything about it, but I can’t really blame anyone (except politicians) for that, because of course child sex abuse by the elite would be swept under the rug, what else can you do but say “yeah that obviously sketchy prison ‘suicide’ was fake as fuck”

That and it wasn’t just Clinton they defended,

Nobody defended Clinton though? Like who, when presented with the facts about Clinton and Gates, defended them? The line I’ve always seen the most was “lock them all up then”

I don’t think “switching places and positions without any of them questioning why or what they actually believe” is accurate at all in this context, because libs never had the anti-list stand that MAGA/chuds have now.

            • The closest I’ve ever seen to Libs defending Clinton was arguing that Hillary isn’t in any way culpable in his alleged crime, ignoring the fact she almost definitely knew and remains married to him to this day.

That and just ignoring the it.

Sure there’s gotta be some, as there are toxic Democrats as well, but nowhere near enough (or at least not widespread enough) to parallel chuds and make such generalization.

Maybe not as many, but I honestly think that’s just because they’re focusing on Trump instead. I have a feeling if Trump was not part of Epstein’s circle that they would also just try to disregard the entire thing altogether to defend their party.

Why do I say this? Because Epstein is not new and I’ve been talking about Epstein and Clinton since at least 2009 and I had libs defend Clinton or just dismiss it as conspiracy theory. Now libs still don’t really mention Clinton but they do mention Trump, not very different from chuds criticizing Dems. And, anyway, it depends what you mean by Democrats because if we’re talking Party Elites then they’re all implicated “toxic” Democrats in this one who would rather go down covering this whole thing up. Biden had years to expose this, and even Obama could’ve released files they had on Epstein at the time, but unsurprisingly little to nothing was ever done.

IDK maybe I’m just still mad at the few libs I was arguing with back in 2019 before I found Hexbear

Even today I was happy to hear the boomer lib radio host I occasionally listen to in the car talking about the press conference but then when he got to thinking out loud about why Biden didn’t bring this up for 4 years and says “maybe he was too busy being a good president” I can’t help but lose my shit when I know that it was guys like him who threw the MeToo movement under the bus to paint Biden’s accuser as a Russian agent and that if Biden was busy with anything it was committing genocide and being senile

When were libs anti-list? As far as I remember the response to “but Clinton” has always been “fuck him too”

Leftists said this, and maybe some more-progressive (and younger) libs, but I think a lot of liberals don’t have it in themselves to say that and never have.

people saying it would turn trump’s supporters against him were way way too optimistic and dont understand how trump’s supporters work. he said it’s fake so it’s fake, that’s all it takes, he’s their savior and only hope so they’ll take any excuse to keep supporting him.

It’s going to take a lot more than this. It’s going to take Trump being dead for x number of years that the number of believers dwindles to the diehards that never shared anyone’s reality anyway. And that’s just what it will take for them to stop believing whatever post online isn’t really him like some sort of Q-adjacent afterlife of ghostposting.

Then after that all the other things they’ll have to admit or unlearn. It’s massive. And they are old. So a lot of them will just die and that will be that. But there’s young ones too. They could cling for decades.

And that’s just Trump, assuming there is no-one to take the reigns of his legacy and go with it allowing them to continue without the vague retrospection they might get if their savior dies and their leaderless movement flops about.

        It’s fucking bleak lmao jokerfication

And who’s to say that, even if his reputation is thoroughly destroyed, it won’t be restored some day? It’s a common sentiment on the right to view Nixon as an unfairly maligned man.

Yeah I listened to a podcast left over from July the hosts being all giddy “this could really be the things that brings trump down!!” making sure they mention the date and time of recording because events moving so fast it could be soon out of date

The renewed and rightfull outrage over Epstein is good. Anything that hurts the pedolites is good. Anything that makes it harder for that fucking demon Maxwell and her demon family to get her out of prison is good. Exposing Epstein and the absolutely vile depths that Mossad will sink to for the sake of their genocidal project is good.
