Guess I’ll put my two cents in, the writing has not been great in season 2, and unfortunately Ramsey is still learning how to act with a range of emotions besides “strong, mildly snarky, girl”. Not her fault since she’s still just a kid, but I can see why people find some of her scenes awkward. Combine that with the previously mentioned bad writing, and S02 just wasn’t as strong as S01.
Combine that with neckbeards upset that the emotionally traumatized characters in a post-apocalyptic society aren’t hot enough to match their fantasies and you get a lot of complaints online, with not enough people willing to defend the show to tell them to shut up and stop being horny neckbeards.
Like soo many people were pissed that they “skipped” Dina and Ellie fucking because that means now the shows homophobic or some dumb bullshit despite an entire episode the previous season being focused on a gay romance.
And then of course the very next episode contained the shit they were bitching about anyways.
I personally am more inclined to blame the writing than Ramsey’s acting. They made some weird choices about her character — just lots of little things that stack up to feeling quite weird

For me It’s mostly that I miss Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsay acting together. They had such great chemistry.
