The woman thought to have the most direct knowledge of Jeffrey Epstein’s decades-long sex-trafficking operation claims there was no client list, no blackmail scheme and – to her knowledge – no high-profile Epstein associates who committed illicit acts in connection with the notorious sex-offender’s crimes.
That’s according to an account provided by Epstein’s convicted co-conspirator Ghislaine Maxwell to a top official of the U.S. Department of Justice during a highly unusual two-day interview session last month, according to a transcript and audio of the conversation released Friday by the DOJ.
After her interviews with the DoJ, Maxwell was moved to a Club Fed prison where all inmates are eligible for work release during their detention. The fact that she gave no incriminating evidence about Epstein associates, when it is plainly obvious to everyone that she has such evidence, shows that she was not rewarded for cooperating with the investigation, but for obstructing it.

You know what, I took your previous claim about these case documents being sealed at face value, but thus far, all I can find that was sealed was the grand jury testimony from Maxwell’s case. What specifically are you referring to because the FBI and DOJ’s investigative documents aren’t sealed they’re just not being released by this or the prior administration.
Even if your claim does turn out to actually be true, are you really arguing that an administration influencing a judge to unseal documents relating to a high-profile pedophile ring of people working in the highest levels of government is “overturning the rule of law and assigning [one]self as despot?” That’s absolutely ridiculous.
This argument has the same energy as “we have to support Israel because they’re our ally in the region.” There’s always some flimsy excuse or justification for why “it’s okay for us to do terrible things because look at how bad those other guys are!”
Yes, overturning the laws in every case is despot behavior. That’s how laws in a democracy work. When there are any exceptions then there are no rights for anyone.
With that out of the way, you might be right that the DOJ documents weren’t a part of the sealed records. Hard to say for sure. The feds were the ones who collected the evidence to use in the prosecution in the first place, so either the evidence was collected and catalogued before the sealing took place or it happened afterwards during the Biden Administration.
