I’d love to read George Lucas’ treatments for the sequel trilogy. We know that they were supposed to focus on the microscopic world with the midi chlorians more and actually introduce the Whills. Sounds ghastly, but I’d really like to know what he had intended for the makro world. And I wanted to know what the Whills are since reading that word in the novelisation of A New Hope.

I think they make an appearance in Clone Wars? Or are those ones not based on George’s ideas?

Do you know in which episode or season? Can’t remember if I watched them all, I think I didn’t watch the last season that was made after the series was finished.

Hmmmm after doing some digging, I think it’s season 3 episode 15? Anakin goes to some crazy planet with super strong force users, one great in the light, one great in the dark. Apparently, they are not the Whills, but known as the “Mortis gods”?

Sounds like it was merely inspired by the whills. That or my searching only revealed a red herring!

The holy grail would surely be a fully-remastered Citizen Kane. Unfortunately some idiot executive accidentally sent the negative for recycling in the 80s/90s.

Never actually made, as far as I know, but mine would be whatever it was David Lynch was doing for Netflix, under the name Wisteria (or possibly Unrecorded Night, it seems to have gone by both names at various points). Cancelled due to the pandemic and never really explained as far as I know.

Hell, I’d just like to know what it was going to be - something Twin Peaks related? Something completely new? The further adventures of Jack the killer monkey?

EDIT - apparently his daughter Jennifer has said they’re considering releasing the script. That was June 2025, so hope springs!

They actually released them on video and streaming. The lost episodes never made it past script stage, but I think they were done as comic books?

StarCraft: Ghost. Great concept, from back when Blizzard made passion projects / before Activision killed them. I have no doubt this game would have been a fucking blast.

Also the recently abandoned KOTOR remake. Fucking amazing game, but one that didn’t age well at all. A modernized version would have been fantastic. That 2 second clip of Revan in the trailer generated an insane amount of hype - people definitely want this one.

Back then Blizzard still had artistic integrity and wouldn’t accept a game of the highest quality.

Their also cancelled Warcraft point and click adventure was leaked a few years ago. It was almost finished. Just lacked some music and voicelines I think. Fans have restored what they could. It’s not bad. But not great either.

I suspect that Ghost was similar. Just not good enough. Activision/Blizzard would probably have released it to salvage what they could.

The KOTOR remake is supposedly still in production. But I think KOTOR 2 could also qualify as lost media. So much left to finish before the release. A real shame. I think it had the potential to be better than the first one. The party interactions were so much more interesting. I bet that premature release killed KOTOR 3.

Adding to that: Star Wars 1313

Would have been amazing to get a gritty Star Wars game with a good storyline. Star Wars Jedi:fallen order leaned a bit towards it but is not so gritty/dark.
