Found the FDA release, says they were processed in Indonesia. Seems unlikely they’d be taken all that way to be processed, but I’m certainly no expert.
You’d be surprised. Shrimp specifically often is harvested then brought to the US to be shipped to another country for processing (deveining and peeling) then shipped back to the US. It’s all labor arbitrage
There was and is. The government is silently allowing the release of all the contaminated water onsite into the ocean, because it was leaking anyway. But yeah, nooklear power is green yass
fewer deaths than any other form of energy, yes. especially coal and petroleum. there’s plenty to criticize about the handling of the fukushima nuclear power plant, but they’ve taken care of the fish pretty well, all things considered.
Arr things considered including the massive solar and wind projects in China that are covering massive increased energy demands? Sorry fam nukular is actually more destructive cause where you gonna store that waste
the waste storage problem is well-considered and much less environmentally destructive than solar panels. wind is nice but provides much less power than necessary
So is this related to the water releases from Fukushima? I remember some folks were saying there was Cesium in the water.
Cs137 is used for calibrating some equipment, might also be a calibrator leaking.
gonna go with a solid “probably”
