New Vegas fans are going to cry whether they love or hate it.

Motherfucker if they have all this fanservice and they somehow don’t have Dave Foley back as Yes Man I will be sorely disappointed.

New Vegas fans are going to cry whether they love or hate it.

      They were pretty mad when

      spoiler

A bomb was dropped on new vegas somewhere in season 1. not sure the context, but whatever.

saying it was because Todd hates FNV for making bethseda look like shit, and now it looks like the entirety of s2 takes place in NV.
Todd must have constantly have had to fight the urge to spill the beans just to shut people up. “If I hate FNV so fucking much, why are we setting the entire second season of the Tv show there you fuck? Why did I fund the development of that game from DLC to full fledged game? Shut the fuck up”

NB : I am not defending Todd and his various debateable actions, just trying to make a funny observation.

I feel you. It was definitely a bit unhinged of New Vegas fans to be so upset. Similarly, I actually want Dave Foley back as Yes Man more because I fucking love Dave Foley than any particular allegiance I have to Yes Man as a character other than Dave Foley managing to make me laugh as the character. I won’t actually be sorely disappointed by anything other than not having Dave Foley in enough things.

        Thirty Helens Agree with me.

In some fairness, I can understand fans being a little disappointed that in such a choice focused game, none of their choices ended up mattering in the larger picture.

I’m not really sure how Bethesda could rectify that though. It’s not like they could make it so that all of the contradictory choices happened at once through some kind of cataclysmic break in time.

OK, but there are a zillion combinations of what could have happened for multiple players. one of the set of choices has to be canon. Hell, maybe in this version , the courier died, Benny lived, then failed, and the balance of power is still being maintained between the strip, house, NCR and Legion.

I mean… if there was ever a sequel to New Vegas, they were gonna have to choose a canon ending as well… and New Vegas fans have been clamoring for a sequel for over a decade now. So I still think it’s pretty silly, because if they actually got what they wanted, there would be a canon ending that was chosen from the prior game. There’s not a way to rectify that, as you point out.

Occam’s razor is that he was told by people above him; due to fan outcry it will take place in NV and that he has to abide by the lore of non-bethesda Fallouts.
