i object to this because the phrasing “invasion” still makes it out like the DPRK are the bad guys

it was a civil war, the lead up to the civil war seeing the South have a police dictatorship supported by the U.S. which did literally every awful thing the u.s. has accused the DPRK of doing, including killing people for the wrong fucking haircut

notice how literally no american ever talks about the U.S. civil war with “the North invaded the South”

and they’re the good guys because they “ended slavery”*

I remember seeing a “Yakko’s World, but with every country the US has bombed since WWII” and was sad to see they forgot the first one in the song, “America”.

Technically the UK should be red since canada was a british colony. But the map is lacking in general (like hungary and bulgaria not being red)

Russia should be red for “supporting dictators”, too.

The dictators that the USA supports are people who don’t have popular support or a pre-existing legal framework they derive their power from. They are governors working as proxies for the USA, deriving their authority from the USAs guns. It doesn’t just mean people you don’t like. Russia’s “democracy” is as legitimate as most European liberal democracies. The DPRK has never propped up a dictator, they don’t have the power to.

Canada? I can’t find a reference to where we’ve “invaded, bombed, couped, supported dictators, supported terrorists and/or interfered in elections” in Canada since 1900. Nor Greenland, though we did put nuclear weapons there without being clear about it, if that counts.

I can’t tell if your question is a poorly veiled critique of my comment, or if you genuinely don’t see the presentation of data in the post. The image literally has a grouping of data points conveying a narrative; that’s statistics. A collection of quantitative data. Just because its bad statistics doesn’t mean it isn’t.

yeah i thought it was common knowledge. there a have been hundreds of missile launch events at or through other countries’ territory. wikipedia has not one but several, extensively sourced lists with maps. didn’t really expect pushbacks on such a well-documented thing. i’ll be going now.

Yeah a lot of state department propaganda is common “knowledge”. Just because a bunch of westerners believe something does not mean it has any merit.

Wikipedia itself should never be trusted just because it has “sources” literally anyone can contribute to wikipedia and it has been well known for decades it has a massive bias against the west’s designated adversaries. Would you care to share some of the sources cited by wikipedia?

Roberta Cohen’s organisation reported, that that’s what some of the survivors/escapee’s from NK reported.

She’s an ancient woman who has been going around the world convincing Western (mostly USian) people to help others (including when the USA made them refugees).

Just by the virtue of her trying to help people I believe her.

You on the other hand are a random nobody in the internet acting like someone poisoned by the USian propaganda (but with an opposite vector).

Did you know that most people during WW2 believed Nazi death camps are Allies propaganda?
