The budget bill just passed by the Senate provides more than $170 billion in new funding for immigration enforcement and detention. Aaron Reichlin-Melnick, who worked on an analysis published by the American Immigration Council, says the new budget would make ICE “the single largest federal law enforcement agency in the history of the nation.”
They have the filibuster. The thing they refused to get rid of to allow them to do good things.
Can’t filibuster a budget reconciliation bill. How many times do we have to go through this before people understand that?
Yup. The Republicans had a similar minority when they successfully gutted Obamacare to where it went from single payer to basically a website.
