A lot of western culture, particularly in the US, is this weird, puritanical blend of ideas and things which seem, when analyzed, completely ludicrous. Nudity is considered taboo in most all media, but incredible violence? Perfectly fine.
I often think about the time I went to see the original Deadpool movie in theaters, and seated in front of my partner and I was a family with a pair of boys that could not have been over 12. If you’re not familiar, the movie opens with an action sequence that features one man hitting a road sign at high speed and becoming a pancake, another getting decapitated, and many people being shot. But they only left when there was a strip club scene in the last half hour of the movie that did, very briefly, feature a woman with exposed breasts

This is implicitly orientalist thinking. There is no simple cultural binary between east and west.
Modern Finland is politically and economically part of the west, this is true. The current president Stubb is basically a lab-synthesized neoliberal. But there still exist elements of a culture which I wouldn’t call eastern per se, but which originate from before the modern era and are contrary to the puritanical ways of the US.

not to be one of those guys and reference a bit from the US version of The Office, but there’s an episode where Jan, Michael’s ex/boss wants to get back together. at this point in the show, Jan has been revealed as an abusive, cruel, self-aborbed and unhinged person. Michael had been the target of her abuse until he finally lost it and dumped her.
anyway, when she comes back to “make up”, Michael has no interest at all, is still afraid of her. until she takes off her coat and it’s revealed she’s gotten a pretty serious boob job. he instantly folds and wants to get back together.
it’s an absurd and amusingly shot scene, but at the same time, I personally know like several guys here in the US that would enter into a relationship with an obviously evil demon if that demon had a cartoonishly artificial set of booba.
