Imagine your job telling you to go to an elementary school to round up some kids and scare the shit out of them. You put on your tactical gear, cover your face, and get into your unmarked cop car to go fuck up those elementary school kids’ day because their skin is brown.

i can’t tell if i should be glad that these public servants have more spine than their federal counterparts.
for better or worse, local public servants tend to have a lot more skin in the game when it comes to their local communities.
also, giving some kind of a fuck about local public education is usually involved in being a public school administrator. like one could be an irredeemable sadist, for sure, but it’s not a job requirement the way it is for Homeland/ICE.
it could just be posturing to generate political capital, but also protecting turf. like “Don’t come in here to fuck around in my little pond without my blessing via a negotiated political transaction. I’m the big fish. Have whoever OK’d this little expedition call me.”

Wonder if anybody will make a tense movie where the school administration does this and the facist agents get progressively more violent, winding up with the school going into a “school shooter” style lockdown but with the agents being the shooters?
