Hey guys this probably isn’t the right place, but I’m new to mental health issues. About two weeks ago I started having crippling anxiety attacks, mostly at or right after work. I do intl logistics for my company so I’ve had a pulse on all this bullshit from the getgo.
At the same time I started having blood pressure issues, and the combination has a vicious feedback loop of anxiety > elevated heart issues > anxiety etc.
My doctor gave me 30 Xanax (and a plethora of heart meds), I’ve looked up self help type stuff to help with the anxiety… Mindfulness, breathing exercises, etc. Daily walks and exercise help the most but I feel so out of control of my emotions I don’t really know what to do anymore.
Should I talk to my GP and get on something long term? Therapist? Keep trying self help?
I’m 38 and otherwise healthy, no depression, slightly overweight but physically active and eating healthy. I stopped all my vices (nicotine, alcohol, most weed I still take edibles CBD) and I don’t know how to cope without being self destructive.
If anyone else is going through this and getting traction just let me know your experience I guess. I don’t know anyone irl as affected as me so I mainly just want validation I’m not alone and there’s a path forward.
Nah just stupid number formatting, my UPCs regularly turn into scientific notation or my UOM automatically convert to a string =“12” which ruins math operations so first I have to make a helper column =NUMBERVALUE([@UOM]).
Or being unable to convert datetime to a simple date for date calculations without loading the table into power query and transforming it there. You can change the format into short date but if the actual value is datetime it will still throw an error but now the type issue is hidden, so have fun reading docs and troubleshooting until you realize your mistake :)
Best I can do is 7.45678e17
Yeah if its something ad hoc I’ll paste values but for sheets meant to be maintained I’ll do it in PQ through merges or calculated columns. Lookups get the job done but they are expensive ;)
Damn you just described my role but everything happened within a span of 3 years
Xlookup works fine for like 90% of cases, I save index match mainly for when I need to return multiple lookup values. In which case I load into BI because I always forget how index match works 😫
I did this for a while but my boss said it looked bad that I leave before everyone else and wasn’t fair to customer-facing peers that had to be there certain hours…
I’m with that guy, I get out of work at a set time I like to have some daylight after work. Doesn’t matter what time I wake up, I don’t wanna do things before work I just like to see the sun after work it gives me something to look forward to.
I think this would only bother the most insecure folks, I’m all for it.
Hah I’ve thought of this maybe I can look into it, I’m an amateur Arduino enthusiast but it might even be more simple than that.
The same crossed my mind but that would be hell for everyone around you on a sunny day. Sometimes even just a car with a lot of chrome is annoying 😔
I recently had a high beam tailgating me. I moved my side and rearview mirrors to reflect it back and he passed me on a double yellow line with him in front of me I just turned on my own high beams. He turned off soon after but I hope it made his day a little more frustrating ¯_(ツ)_/¯
Dude YES. 20 years ago driving in the country you see some high beams in the distance and people would go back to low beams as they get around a corner or crest a hill when they see other cars.
My commute is through a lot of schools and parks and pedestrian crossings and it’s somewhat poorly lit, so everyone has high beams on regardless of traffic but as a result I can’t see shit. If there’s oncoming cars stopped and a pedestrian tries to squeak through I literally wouldn’t be able to tell.
It’s gotten so bad, either people have their brights on all the time or they’re not adjusted properly. In either case headlights DONT HAVE TO BE SO BRIGHT.
It might be nothing but see a doctor. I’m young and healthy but turns out my heart genetics suck and I had dangerously high blood pressure.
A take two little pills a day and watch my sodium and no more heart pains are no longer an issue :)
Same. I have some aged Old Navy hoodies in tall sizes that go to about the bottom of my jeans zipper.
I asked for a couple new ones (same size and SKU!) for Christmas and the bottom sits at the bottom of my belt so if I move or stretch it’s a belly shirt…
Eddie Bauer has been the same lately, the tall sizes are like maybe 1-2" longer but I’m not only extremely tall, but my torso is proportionally pretty long.
If I could be 5’10" that’d be great. I think most people take it for granted that the whole world is made for average height.
I’ve noticed this a lot lately. Extremely long winded and well written emails that could just be a few bullet points.
Give me the human version please. If your email fills my entire screen it’s going through the GPT gauntlet and if your point is lost that’s kinda on you.
If you ever find a way around this let me know, it’s maddening. Especially overseas contacts where I have to wait a day in-between responses, sometimes it takes a week or more to get what I need.
Just… Why?
I wish my kitchen was just a little bit bigger lol. My fiance gets mad when I’m all up in her space, kitchen is off limits when she’s cooking.
