2 months agojust found out my boomer lib mom has been paying SIXTY-FIVE Dollars a month for a new york Crimes SUSscription and now they are increasing prices to a HUNDRED AND FIVE per month. Holy shit I had no idea it was so much I just assumed it was like netflix or something. I told her why are you paying so much? Half the opinions are republicans that you hate and you are funding them. She said actually I hate all the opinion columns (BASED). But she still wants to pay the subscription anyway.
on youtube there’s a tv show dramatization of huang wenxiu’s life in the poverty aleviation campaign. Its called “daughter of the mountain” and I really enjoyed it. Its a mostly gentle show about her adapting to the village and solving problems. The first episode is mostly setup and then it really starts in the second episode.
