IRC est loin d’être mort ! J’y traîne encore beaucoup perso. Il y a beaucoup de communautés sur Libera.chat surtout, mais également dans les communautés “Tilde” (genre tilde.chat). Après il faut reconnaître que ce sont en général des commus internationales et orientées tech.

Sinon en vieux protocoles, Gopher et Finger résistent toujours à l’extinction :)

Sure we do, but you cannot expect everyone to simply run their own DNS and call it a day.

The vast majority of people don’t even know that DNS even exist, let alone that your ISP can monitor/alter your traffic through it.

You don’t need to access a .onion instance to use Tor. You can simply perform your day-to-day web usage through Tor directly.

On your phone, you can even use Tor natively with most of your apps.

Been using mutt for years, and I still love it. But getting it to works is more and more of a pain nowadays, and I find myself using whatever webmail my company uses (right now O365). For personnal emails, mutt on the desktop, and a selfhosted roundcube for when I don’t have a client.

+1 for organic maps. Been using that for the past year and it’s awesome!
