had shared with my family and they were experiencing the same. lasted probably 10 minutes.

nevermind, I can access it again
never heard of them before and sadly don’t think I have one local
my plan was to get the 9a seeing as it’s now released I believe. seems to be a pretty great price spec wise.
because of emotions? we have seen Starlink being used to threaten/force Ukraine to comply now that they’re reliant on it for their military. We do not want to allow anything similar to happen here
I’m going to recommend Robins for their coffee :)
I hate this sentiment. Not all cops are bastards. Most are normal people like you or me… they really should have came up with a better acronym as this just breeds hatred rather than getting to the main point: the policing system likely needs reform.

do you know if Ecobee uses it, or if there is a way to know? I realistically could try self-hosting… guess I’ll have to think that over. Thank you for the additional info
I do care about privacy, and have been trying to convince those I live with to switch away from Ring because of it. I’m hoping there will be more convincing now with everything happening in the states.
I’m not the most knowledgeable on stuff like this, but with an airgapped system, how would that work for connecting? Realistically I’d like to be able to check the cameras when I’m away from home, and to me that sounds like it’s local only?
good for you, but that wasn’t my question
thanks for the info. so far they do appear to be the most promising.
as of right now I’m using Filen for cloud storage. not Canadian, but they are e2ee and I’ve already paid for lifetime storage so I’ve no reason to switch, but that’s good to know should I ever choose to :)
why is that? I’m not into the whole self-hosting thing. I understand it’s better, but I prefer the convenience of off-loading that hassle to someone else.
sorry, it was moreso that they are an American company. I think big-tech wasn’t the right term for me to use. my apologies.
