Well if the pattern is to be followed, we have three more oblivion releases, and 3 more morrowind releases. So that’s like a decade at least

But my pets yawn when I yawn
Building AI tools will also require very few of the skills of a manager from our generation. It’s better to be a prompt engineer, building evals and agentic AI than it is to actually manage. Management will be replaced by AI, it’s turtles all the way down. They’re going to expect you to be both a project manager and an engineer at the same time going forward, especially at less enterprising organizations with lower compliance and security bars to jump over. If you think of an organization as a tree structure, imagine if the tree was pruned, with fewer branches to the top, that’s what I imagine there end goal is.
Do undead presidents act as a third term loophole?
As am I. They don’t realize we are also fond of guns on this side of the street, and are much more thrilled by the sight of dead Nazis.
In good conscience I can’t recommend visiting the site or lowering yourself to read their blubbering nonsense, but if you do happen to find yourself reviewing the perspectives over on that other site in r/Conservative, you’ll find them infighting, and doing mental gymnastics to make sense of it all. Praising him, while simultaneously being upset he wants a third term, or ashamed of his imperialist plans. The blind leading the blind, but apparently at least some of them are bothered by some of the unconstitutional actions.
Assuming our universe turns out to be inside of a black hole, it’s possible that you’d potentially be yeeting your garbage into someone else’s universe. Ideally we have all universes yeet there garbage into the one we dedicated to garbage. Then the people at the end of time can deal with that instead of us. Although it’d be much more energy efficient to change compositions of matter than maintain an active black hole, so recycling may still be optimal over tossing your banana peel.
You can even trick people over video now using AI, and without too much effort. The next generation of scams is going to be really creepy, society isn’t even a little bit ready.
https://www.tavus.io/ is just one product already pushing the boundaries in this space
If you want to use WOL you’ll need an adapter/dock with an Ethernet port.
Then use nmcli (network manager cli) to accept magic wake-up packets: nmcli c modify “Wired connection 1” 802-3-ethernet.wake-on-lan magic
See more info here: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Wake-on-LAN
Then you just send a magic packet using your Steam Decks MAC whenever you want it to wake up.
Note: if you own an OLED Steam Deck technically you can just do this over Bluetooth with a controller instead, because of the hardware update.
EDIT: looks like 3.7.0 preview has added Bluetooth wake support for LCD models as well!
You can already wake the device up over LAN, USB, or Bluetooth. You could even have a separate device such as a PC or phone that sends the wake up signal to the steam deck if you wanted. I have other devices that work this way in my home already.
It’d be preferable to manage this all on device of course, but I assure you this is solvable where existing Steam Decks already reside, without needing to fix any low level firmwares.
It’d be nice if it could wake itself up, and then begin to update games while idle. When done it could just go back to sleep again if it’s still idle after some time passes.
Even better would be settings to choose auto updates from discover, the client, and any proton changes.
Surprised they don’t have anything like this after years, it’s not a particularly complex problem to solve. All of the update logic for the games already exists, it’s literally just managing the wake/sleep events that they’d need to program.
The high seas are calling for those who are patient
Could also be pirate space monkeys came and saved all the fish and then returned them after. It’s really fun to make up situations where the fish didn’t die in the story. We can even give Noah a staff and special powers as long they justify our view of the world.
I agree, a gateway drug is what we are looking for. Imagine trying to learn how to run before you learned how to walk. We are asking a lot of the masses if we want to see user growth here without a simple and easy to understand starting place.
I think the hardest concept for beginners to grok is that they can’t login with one account to all instances. If we were to improve the UX around that experience solely, we would see greater adoption.
No one is saying they can’t be put behind bars. Try to name a billionaire that was arrested in the US that got arrested without a mountain of paperwork, slow judicial due diligence, and they eventually went to prison.
They are not above the law, but they can control it when they need to. Cops do not fear you or me, but they certainly fear the powerful, and money is often synonymous with power in the US.
Not sure if you are being serious or not. Police do not exist in society to protect the people, they exist to protect the rich.
Any police officer who attempted to arrest one of the richest people would immediately be hit with a lawsuit, likely lose their job within a couple days, and be shunned by the rest of their gang. Not to mention the situation could easily escalate given that most rich people have private guards who are equally armed to defend themselves in case of any Luigi’s.
Additionally police don’t tend to just go arrest high profile people without a lot of justification for doing so ahead of time, such as an arrest warrant, and lots of paper work.
If someone went to a police precinct and told them to arrest him, they’d probably first get a good laugh out of the people behind the desk, and then told to leave immediately.
Weirdly that sounds identical to many of the hallucinations that newer LLMs are making.
And yet I still have electronics to this day that require me to pull the plug to get going again 😂
I’ve cloned drives from an existing steam deck onto another brand new drive for a new steam deck. The swap you are doing should work the same without issue.
This is why I only upload incriminating files. No one needs to be convinced to backup my data.
