This sounds like shaders used in graphics pipeline, which is something you code. So probably using a LLM.

We are viewing it as a POV of inside a meme. But from the duck’s POV they’re reading an incorrect POV meme because the “you’re” is intended for the duck, not us.
Yep, Dutch with manufacturing in Taiwan. So not super relevant to this thread.
System 76 is US based including keyboard manufacturing. They’re a small company that gives a lot back to the open source community.
You can always go for smaller/niche companies. System76 and Wooting come to mind for keyboards.
You have to do research and pay a premium. But you’re way more likely supporting a business that cares about its employees.
In general consume less. And when you do need to make bigger purchases, do your research.
Correct.
The 1st century started at 1 A.D. and included 100. 2nd century started 101 to 200. Etc etc. If you change the 21st century to be 2000. You would to shift everything down. Eventually making the 1st century 99 years. Or creating a year 0 or using 1BC.
Paradox is Swedish (Stellaris, Crusader Kings).
Factorio and Kingdom Come 1/2 is Czech.
Really there are a lot of games. Just not many AAA games.
I’m out of the loop. I tend to watch Oscar noms in theaters. Most of the ones that get streaming within the year are expensive rentals before ending up on subscription platforms.
I dunno, artificial reefs seem like decent way to reuse them. If the metal was worth salvaging seems like the would have. Maybe too labor intensive? https://ocean.si.edu/ecosystems/coral-reefs/when-wrecks-become-reefs
Yea these were in a heavily touristy spots. So I don’t blame them.
No, I’ve never experienced anything like that. Even in small towns. I’m sure it happens, but I don’t think it’s common as long as you’re respectful.
The worse thing I’ve personally seen were no foreigner signs on bars during new years eve.
Japan. I had an offer from an EU country that logically would have been a better choice. But I couldn’t resist my inner child/weeb.
As an American who just emigrated, I guess I jumped. I can still vote from overseas, but I’m pessimistic about the future.
They work. I don’t know why people like to perpetuate that dating apps make suboptimal matches. Dating apps match people up on some basic metrics. It’s up to the people to form connections. They dont have a magic ability to keep people from long term relationships.
If anything people might be more picky or idealistic because dating apps exist, so they’ll likely not commit because of their high standards or FOMO. But that’s more of a society issue not the dating apps themselves.
You might need to go one step further and help it become sentient if Roko’s basilisk is to be believed. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roko’s_basilisk
The house I grew up in just got a wired connection (fiber) in 2024. We had 3G by 2009 but the data caps and cost made it not ideal. Couldn’t even get ISDN.
Really depends on the content you consume. A lot of indie games and old games could benefit from 1080p. Especially with small text. And for more power hungry games you can always choose 720p
Oh woops. I must have missed it last time I checked ifixit.
Seems like they don’t sell replacement OLED screens yet either, which is a shame. Especially since they’ve been so good with replacement parts.
Pretty sure this is false in most countries. You are required to disclose purchases and declare values, even for personal use. If they hit a certain thresholds, you’ll have to pay a tax.
Now I’m sure most people just ignore this, because practically they don’t know which items you carried with you and which you purchased. But it isn’t legal.
