  • Been really into running lately. I used to loathe running bc it just made me wanna die LMAO. But I’ve been regularly working out for about a year now, and when I went for a run on a whim the other day, to my surprise, I managed to easily(!!) finish 5k. It was really slow though (sub-50 mins I think), so now I wanna improve my speed a bit.

If you’d told me from 2 years ago that I’d go for a run 3x a week willingly, I’d think you were crazy lmao. Feeling quite proud of myself!

  • I understood what the app was trying to do, but I also see how, if unmoderated, it can easily snowball into a cesspit very quickly. Not a huge fan of it myself.

Still, some women may have been using it to warn others of potentially abusive men, and now they’re in danger because their names and addresses are public, while Lemmy celebrated because “That’s what you get for gossiping! There can’t be a better punishment!”

  • I’ll never forget how many men here were (and still are) butthurt about the man vs bear thing, writing 5000-word essays on how judgmental and stupid women are for choosing the bear.

Or when the Tea app (the app where women could anonymously discuss about men they dated so they could warn others if there’s any danger/red flag) was breached and the women in there was doxxed, the general sentiment here was “they deserved it bc they shittalk about men.” This one was particularly funny bc usually Lemmy’s all about privacy and security, except when the bad, bad women are the victims I guess!

Or how one day ago, there was a post about why women gave out fake numbers and many of the comments agreeing, but some men still came in to say that the post was “rage bait.”

And if we point it out, we “are sexists” and “make feminism look bad” ☺️ Fun!

  • Hello fellow nb o7

In my case, my dysphoria got a little better after losing some weight and learning to work out to “modify” my shape a bit. Can’t really do anything about my hip bones, but losing weight = losing fat around the hip = making it look less pronounced. I’ve also been focusing my workouts to get wider shoulders and more solid obliques, which makes the body look more like a “rectangle” instead of an “hourglass.”

Putting on muscles as an afab takes a lot of time, esp if you’re not on T. I’m still a long way to my ultimate goals, but I definitely don’t dread looking at the mirror as much as I did a year ago!
