But… @JustZ@lemmy.world, this is stuff only COGAT says but every other human rights organization has contested it and provided evidence of otherwise… do you think it’s a good idea to get your sources from only one organization? And what about all the other organizations that discredit COGAT’s claims (like the UN, doctors without borders, the red cross, the red crescent, etc…)? Is there something that makes you think they are all lying, or?

Look at this for example. Israel keeps displaying Palestinians in the West Bank. Just normal people and shepards and farmers. Crazy.

I can see why you think I might be exaggerating but at some point I checked the wikipedia page listing Houthi attacks on ships and spent a good amount of time checking each one more carefully.

Yep exactly. The US attacks on Yemen are just a continuation of a long American tradition of bombing the shit out of “lesser” nations.

So… if Israel nukes Iran, what will it do when it gets attacked by its neighbours? Won’t they just attack Israel by land while Israel won’t be able to respond with nuking their immediate neighbors? They already have good reason to do it since Israel has not been a good neighbor and has killed high numbers of civilians in Lebanon.

But aren’t you saying that some countries can be disinfranchized because they don’t abide by Western ideals and that some stronger nation can swoop in and colonize them and are right to do so?

You also expressed the opinion thta generalized Yemeni people (predominantly Muslim) and shows them to be culturally defective… but you provide no evidence except for them being Yemeni.

How… how would a nuke program deter your neighbors? Wouldn’t that ruin your water supply and complicate everything for you?

They have not been operating with honesty for some ships but as someone else pointed out, the majority had ties to the US and Israel. They’ve also been very clear about why they do this. I’m not saying they are admirable, but they are not that wrong.

I don’t think it’s bad to admit that they are generally doing something good while also committing bad mistakes.
