Nice!!
Nice!!
I use localsend. Can send between my Android, iPhone, and Desktop easily. I also have a “Copy Paste” telegram group. When I send something to the group, it appears on all my devices. I kind of like this because I have a history of all my links, pics, files, etc and I can just do a search if I ever need to go back and find something. Also, Photosunc is like $6 a year and anytime I take a pic it auto backs it up to my desktop server via SMB.
You can use a flash drive now with thunderbolt to usb-c converter I believe.
I don’t use any apple services except for iMessage, Facetime, and Apple Pay (to accept payments). So no iCloud, Apple Music, Apple Care, etc. None of that garbage.
I carry both. I’ve been doing it so long that when I have one and not the other, I feel naked. 2 phones and my Keys, everywhere I go… except the gym. I only bring my iPhone then.
Sure no problem. You may be used to reddit. People are a bit nicer over here :)
I have been dual wielding the Android/iPhone combo for the last 10 years. I use my iPhone for iMessage, Facetime, Apple Pay, and when my Android is dead. And it works wonderfully with my Apple watch and Airpods when I’m working out. I use my Android for everything else. So my Android is my main device and my iPhone is secondary.
This is weird. Audiophiles like headphones because they say the sound is better. Me personally, I can’t tell the different but the trained ear can. And that’s ok.
Oh man I forgot about that one! 😂😭
I could have really used that “support extracting boot image from payload.bin” back when I had my OnePlus 10T. Having to go to my dental was inconvenient.
Yes. I remember being argued down that “we don’t need copy and paste! That’s not an important feature!”. Smh
Yes we have an app drawer now lol (I use an iPhone as my secondary phone).
Don’t care. Switched to Joplin and it’s so much better, it’s not even funny.
Wow I thought I was the only person who hated PiP. I turn that shit off on any media player that has it. And yea, chat bubbles I don’t like either lol
Crazy
I haven’t had a Samsung device since the S7 TouchWiz days. You’re telling me there’s still lag in the spec’d out top end devices all these years later?
The fingerprint sensor on my P6 was trash. Then somehow when I upgraded to the P7 with that Best Buy deal… The fingerprint sensor was even worse. Deal breaker for me. The only reason I’m not using a Pixel device right now.
Google Voice - Cheogram
Search - Duck Duck Go or Start Page
Contacts - NextCloud
Calendar - NextCloud
Tasks - Task.Org
Keep - Joplin
Maps - Magic Earth
Passwords & Sign In - Bitwarden or Keepass
Docs & Sheets - Open Office
Gmail - Proton or Tutanota
Dialer - Simple Dialer
Files - Material Files
Chrome - Firefox
YouTube - Peertube
Photos - NextCloud
Bookmarks - NextCloud, Floccus, or XBrowsersync
I use all of these but I still have to use Google Voice and Maps because they are just superior to everything else that I have tried imo. And I sometimes use gmail too because certain website logins are locked to my old Gmail’s.
Then make it smaller in the settings
Photo Editor by Macguyver. It’s confusing at first and takes a while to get setup. But after that, you can backup all the settings so you never have to worry about that again. It has soma my features. By far the best I’ve ever tried. If you’re looking for something simple, then pics at pro is a good one.
Yes. I’m in the free KeePass ecosystem. Self hosted via iCloud and backed up to Proton Drive.
KeePass2Android no net on my Android.
Keepassium on my iPhone.
And KeepassDX on my desktop.
Protonmail connected to my domain
Good stuff. Getting to used to using Reddit less and less.
Vaultwarden ftw
