At that point there’s not much difference between them and today’s far right. I mean tankies will openly say they support communism, but their actions shows that’s not what they are truly after.

To me it looks like tankies were product of Soviet propaganda while MAGA is a product of Russian propaganda, and that’s why they both share so many common views.

Absolutely this. LLM basically is trained to be good at fooling us into thinking it is intelligent, and it is very good at it.

It doesn’t demonstrate how good it is in what it is doing, it demonstrates how easy it is to fool us.

My company provides copilot for software engineering and I use it in my IDE.

The problem is that it produces code that looks accurate, but it often isn’t. I frequently tend to disable it. I think it might help in area where I don’t know what I’m doing, so it can get some working code, but it is a double edged sword, because if I don’t know what I’m doing I will not be able to catch issues.

I also noticed that what it produces when correct, I can frequently write a simpler and shorter version that fits my use case. It looks very likely like code you see students put on GitHub when they post their homework assignment, and I guess that’s what it was trained on.

And trump admin used LLM to generate tariff policy and also to decide who should lose their visa and get deported. And I’m sure there’s more.

The whole AI craze is showing that billionaires really got fooled what LLM is, and also shows us that to be a billionaire the requirement isn’t to be smart, but to be born to already a wealthy family and be a psychopath.

That’s because of corruption. As of now communism to be implemented requires authoritarianism. Authoritarianism is the main reason why communism is bad.

Currently both, tankies as well as far right don’t really care about socialism (if tankies cared about socialism they wouldn’t support China or Russia). All they are supporting is authoritarianism.

What far right labels as far left (in US at least) are people who support liberal democracy with protections and safety nets for working class. The “most radical” Bernie Sanders is exactly for that.

There might be actual communist parties in Europe, they hardly have any support.

China is hardly a communism right now, Russia definitively isn’t a communism. So the current tankies that are worshipping Russia and China aren’t really for communism, they are only pro authoritarianism.

They are actually more aligned with MAGA than anything, the only difference is just that they don’t have problem openly supporting Russia and China.

Since this is world community there are people in other countries, and might be different definition what’s far left. But in US what authoritarians are labeling as far left are people who still want liberal democracy, but with social programs (what you have in EU, especially in Scandinavian countries). The “furthest left” politicians, Bernie Sanders is basically advocating for medical care for all Americans and taxes on rich. Basically so the government works for the people but against them.

Today’s tankies (appropriately to the name) are pro authoritarianism and it just “happens” that’s what far right Russia is. Even China isn’t truly a communism, but they are both authoritarian.

They paid to keep him in prison there. Doesn’t sound like deportation to me.

It wasn’t about cutting spending, DOGE has three objectives:

• seize control over our institutions
• collect data that could be used to blackmail people
• cut pesky investigations that were bothering elon
